Obedience Reminder from President Horgesheimer

Dear Parents of Our Wonderful Missionaries,

We are so grateful and privileged to serve with your incredible sons and daughters in the Great Ohio Columbus Mission. We truly love each and every one of them as our own and are amazed by their faithful diligence moving this great work of salvation forward. As we are in the midst of the wonderful holiday season and honoring the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ we wish to share a few reminders that will help the missionaries stay focused on their purpose of inviting and helping others come on to Christ and receive his restored gospel.

Missionaries are blessed to have weekly communication with you through letters, emails, text messages, online messaging, phone calls, and video chat. With love and gratitude for your flexibility, we are now reemphasizing the standard of weekly communication found in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ. As noted in the handbook, your missionary should initiate all text message conversations, online messaging, phone calls, and video chats on his or her preparation day. Should you need to contact your missionary, please contact President Horgesheimer beforehand. You can reach the President by calling the Mission Office at (614) 880-9960.

Our missionaries have benefited greatly by more frequent communication with their families. We testify that our missionaries are and will be blessed as they strive to meet the communication standards found in Missionary Standards for Disciples of Jesus Christ. Your assistance in the matter will bless your missionary and will help move the work forward here in the Ohio.

We are deeply thankful for you and the wonderful support you give your missionary!

Sincerely,

Jason J. Horgesheimer
President
Ohio Columbus Mission
